Julia Stevens

She/Her

Julia started playing with hair at age 4! In primary school she would use beetroot juice, whiteboard markers, mascara and even red icy poles on light hair to give it fun colours. So it's no surprise that at the age of 16 she was pursuing her passion and entered the hair industry.

Now, more than 2 decades later she's still in love with her job everyday! Julia loves pop art colours and giving clients cuts that make their lives easier. Big changes or little changes, Julia is no stranger to coming up with a new look for you. Whether you want to stay consistent or constantly love to switch it up, Julia will rise to the challenge.

When Julia isn't elbows deep in hair, she can be found binge watching Netflix shows, going op shopping and fabric dying her finds, or walking her 3 whippets with her partner Dylan (they/them) in the botanical gardens or along the beach.

Specialties: Vivids/Pastels, Toning, Bleach & Tone, and Textured Hair Cuts

Dusty's most gratifying work is gender affirming hair cuts; whether its a grow out begging for shape and love, or a massive chop to make you feel your true self. Creating a safe space for you to be yourself is what Dusty strives for, while also pushing you to explore your hairs full potential.

When he's not at work he can be found exploring his new city/country, at the gym, creating something new with painting or home design, or vegging out watching the latest episodes of Dynasty or The Walking Dead.

Indigo Lamb

She/They

Indigo is a queer nonbinary AuDHD cutie and has been working at Respekt since 2021 and has been qualified as of June 2023. Indigo fell in love with hairdressing after deciding to study it on a whim during Covid lockdowns - before that their cuts were exclusive to sharehouse backyards using kitchen scissors. Thankfully she has grown her talents since then. She loves cutting hair - short and shaggy, long and luscious , mullets which are a combination of the two, gender affirming and sensory friendly styles. You want something weird and out there? Indigo’s gonna make it happen. Outside of the salon she can be found in deep conversation with her cat Josie , playing Fallout , sketching silly things and drinking wanky beer in the sun.

Specialties - mullets , gender affirming cuts and accessible Haircare.
